Parliament calls for the enactment of a law to deter absent from meetings

- Called on the Presidency of the Council of Representatives, on Sunday, to enact a law to deter absent from meetings of the House of Representatives without legal excuse, pointing to the absence of a special law within the rules of procedure allows direct legal penalties you pay to attend.
The decision of the presidency of Mohammed al-Khalidi (IMN) "The rules of procedure of the old and the new did not give permission to the Presidency to punish MPs absent from the meetings of the Council, which gets the vote on the laws, especially those that are subject to the political consensus between the blocs."
Khalidi called "enact a law to ensure punishment of Representatives absent for attendance during the sessions of Parliament," noting that "the only penalty in the rules of procedure are cut salaries of MP and this is not enough."
And witnessing many meetings of the Iraqi Council of Representatives absence of some MPs to vote for the laws of the task.
And decided the Presidency of the Council of Representatives, cut one million dinars from the salary of any Deputy deliberately absent from meetings without excuse, as well as the continuity of parliamentary sessions over the next week without malfunction, and publish the names of MPs absent at the official site of the Parliament
