America: Cutting ties with Russia is futile

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Monday that the United States wants to work with Russia and that severing relations because of its differences is futile.
"Russia has indicated some willingness to hold talks and find ways to make progress on the thorny issue of Ukraine," Tillerson said in a discussion of a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
"The US-Russia relationship is being viewed pragmatically and it is believed that problems can be addressed," he said.
For his part, Lavrov stressed that "Russia should understand that intervention in elections is very dangerous." Finished
