Oil rises to $ 71 a barrel

Oil prices rose during Thursday's trading to $ 71 per barrel, as US inventories fell.
By 0710 GMT, the benchmark Brent crude was up 0.6% at $ 70.92 a barrel after crude hit $ 71.05 a barrel.
Nymex crude futures were up about $ 66.17 a barrel, or 0.9%, the highest level since December 2014.
Data from the US Energy Information Administration showed yesterday that oil inventories in the United States fell more than expected in the week ending Jan. 19 by 1.1 million.
While expectations had indicated that stocks would fall by 1 million barrels, while on the level of US production rose to 9.88 million barrels last week. Ending / 25 g
