Industrial activity in Japan is growing at the fastest pace in 4 years

According to data released by Market, the PMI index rose to 54.8 points in January from 54 points in December, compared with a preliminary reading of 54.4 points.
Analysts had expected industrial activity in Japan to grow to 54.4 in January.
The PMI manufacturing index improved strongly in January to the fastest pace of growth since February 2014, citing a marked increase in strong growth in production and employment in the world's third-largest economy.
By 8:59 am GMT, the Japanese yen fell more than 0.3 percent against the greenback to climb the greenback to 109.55 yen.
