Suez Canal revenues rise to $ 463 million in March
The Suez Canal Authority's revenues rose in March to $ 463 million, the Egyptian newspaper Suez Canal quoted the Egyptian Suez Canal Authority (MEA) chief as saying on Monday.
Suez Canal revenues were $ 435.8 million in February.
The channel's total revenue grew 12.9 percent year-on-year to 1.351 billion dollars in the first quarter of this year, the newspaper said.
The canal is the fastest shipping corridor between Europe and Asia and a major source of hard currency for the Egyptian government.
