    The cabinet voted on Tuesday to set up a cooking oil plant in partnership with the private sector, while voting on a decision to provide all facilities to generate electricity and provide citizens with it.
    "The Council of Ministers held today its regular session under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi. The meeting witnessed a broad discussion of the problems of the people of Basra and the issue of water and the water project in Basra and several urgent decisions were taken," the council said in a statement.
    He added that "the vote was formed on the formation of a government delegation headed by the Minister of Oil and the membership of Ministers of Construction, Housing, Municipalities, Public Works, Electricity, Water Resources and Transport, the Advisor of the Prime Minister and the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers and the crisis cell to go to Basra urgently and address the problems facing the province, Net distribution of water to citizens.     He stressed that "it was voted on the issuance of instructions for the amount of fees collected by the embassies and consulates of the Republic of Iraq and the Directorate of Residence and centers of residence in the border crossings based on the provisions of Article 36 / item first of the Act on the establishment of foreigners No. 76 of 2017 and Article 80 / item III of the Constitution," noting that "Voted on the amendment of the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 208 of 2017 on the establishment of a plant to produce edible oil in partnership with the private sector."
    He pointed out that "the issue of payment of contractors' receivables was discussed, and the Council of Ministers decided to pay 40% of the second inventory receivables amounting to (228) billion dinars, similar to the receivables paid to the contractors within the first inventory."
    The Council of Ministers said that it decided to pay the remaining amounts of arrears of 30% of the first inventory of important projects approved by the Council of Ministers Decision No. 89 of 2017 and in particular the Ministry of Construction and Housing and within the water, Billion, and the possibility of benefiting from the abundance in the amounts allocated in the budget of 2018 as receivables for the transfer to service ministries to support their projects, which are classified as a priority of the government program with a list to the Council of Ministers of a committee formed for this purpose, headed by a representative of the Ministry of Planning and a representative of the Ministry of Finance and Related ministries and governorates. "
    "The Cabinet decided to form a committee of the Ministry of Planning, Reconstruction and Housing to develop mechanisms to solve the problem of damage and infrastructure that has occurred in a number of projects as a result of the cessation of long periods and economic feasibility for its continuation and the Ministry of Finance to accelerate the launch of allocations allocated to those projects in the budget of 2018.
