Kuwaiti National Assembly member Saleh Ahmed Ashour said on Thursday that his country is seeking to create large investments in Iraq during the coming period, pointing out that the economic relations between the two countries will witness remarkable development.

"Kuwait is keen to develop bilateral relations with neighboring Iraq," Ashour said in a statement. "Kuwait is a leadership and a government that always seeks to strengthen the relationship permanently away from previous differences."

Ashour added that "the Iraqi-Kuwaiti rapprochement will be reflected positively on the economy of the two countries in the first place," stressing that "Kuwait seeks to create large investments and reconstruction of Iraq will be an economic starting point for Kuwait."

On the recent visits of a number of Iraqi leaders and officials to Kuwait, Ashour said that "the recent visits of Iraqi officials to the State of Kuwait is a positive indicator of the development of relations between the two countries." Ending / 25 h
