People usually get a second nationality when they live in the country of the Diaspora for many years, but some of the willing, or wealthy, are taking a different path, they pay or invest important sums quickly get another passport. 

According to Bloomberg, many countries around the world sell their nationalities to those who bring in important capital and contribute to the revival of local economies. 

Wealthy people seek nationalities in some countries to take advantage of their privileges, and investors benefit from low tax rates in some of the so-called "havens" countries.

The price of citizenship varies from one country to another, depending on the country's strength. In rich and developed countries, the price reaches millions of dollars. In small islands, the price does not exceed hundreds of thousands of dollars. 

Austrian citizenship is the most expensive in the world. It requires an investment of $ 23.7 million, Vienna allows its passport to be sold since 1985, and the Greek island of Cyprus is worth $ 2.3 million. 

At the same time, the Republic of Malta requires a $ 1 million investment to acquire citizenship. The country enjoys considerable popularity in view of its membership in the European Union.
