    The deputy of the province of Nineveh Ahmed Jubouri, Saturday (September 15, 2018), an appeal to the political forces to prevent the return of the so-called "bums" to the presidency of the Iraqi parliament, denying at the same time withdraw his candidacy for the post.

    "The withdrawal of his candidacy is Ahmed al-Jubouri, former governor of Salahuddin (Abu Mazen), not him," Jubouri said in a televised statement.

    He added that "the reform alliance nominated 5 names and presented to its components and the rest of the components with the aim of naming a national figure committed to the directives of the people and reference."

    Al-Jubouri called on political forces to "prevent the return of voters to the presidency of parliament and listen to the opinion of the people and reference."

    He pointed out that "winning the job requires 166 votes, and whoever gets this is less than this number, will not be able to get the position, according to the Iraqi constitution."

    It is scheduled to complete the Iraqi Council of Representatives Saturday (September 15, 2018), its open for the election of the Speaker of the Parliament and his deputies, while politicians ruled out the possibility of holding the meeting because of the lack of consensus between the Sunni blocs on one candidate for the post, amid Kurdish province.

    The National Axis has announced, Friday, September 14, 2018, resolving the nomination of Mohamed Halbusi to the presidency of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in its next session.
