Shafaq News / The media office of Prime Minister-designate Adel Abdul-Mahdi published on Wednesday a census of the applicants for the post of Minister on the first day to open its website electronically.

A statement by the office said that the first day to open the portal to run for the post of minister through the website directly witnessed the registration of more than 36 thousand people, indicating that the number of those who completed the process of the nomination amounted to 9 thousand and 317 people. 

According to the statistics, the percentage of independent candidates amounted to 97% and the proportion of women candidates 15%, pointing out that the nomination included people from all governorates of Iraq, including the provinces of the Kurdistan Region and included all ministries.

According to the information, 185 people from Erbil, 156 from Suleimaniyah and 96 from Duhok submitted their applications for the post of minister in the government of Abdul Mahdi.
