    - Iranian buyers are expected to prepare to resume oil imports from Tehran after Tokyo received an exemption from US sanctions, Commerce Minister Hiroshige Seko said on Tuesday.
He told reporters that the United States took into account the stability of energy supply and the impact of sanctions on Japanese companies, adding that Japan would continue to exchange views closely with Washington.
"It is up to private companies, but on the basis of this decision, companies are likely to prepare to resume imports of Iranian crude," he said.
"I can not comment on import volumes," he said when asked if it would be necessary to cut imports in any way.
Siku declined to comment on whether Japanese imports would stop completely after the 180-day limit, saying only that it would depend on the course of negotiations between the two countries.
