The Iraqi Council of Representatives began Saturday to vote on the formation of permanent parliamentary committees, while reducing the number to 22 committees.
"The House of Representatives began voting on the formation of permanent parliamentary committees," a parliamentary source said in a statement. "The committees were reduced to 22 instead of 27 committees."
"The tribal affairs committee has been integrated with civil society organizations, integrating culture with antiquities and tourism, as well as integrating reconciliation with religious affairs and integrating human rights and martyrs with deportees and displaced persons," he added.
He added that "the work committee merged with the displaced and transport with communications," noting that "the maximum limit of one committee will be 21 members, as well as granting the Presidency authorization to add one or two members to Paradise."
He pointed out that "the parliament voted on the members of the committees without the presidency," explaining that "the House of Representatives will change the rules of procedure."
