Federal Court appeals seven candidates for parliamentary elections

The Federal Supreme Court on Wednesday appealed seven candidates for the House of Representatives elections.
"The Federal Supreme Court held its session on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Judge Medhat al-Mahmoud and the attendance of all members of the judiciary," the court's spokesman Ayas al-Samuk said in a statement.
He added that "the meeting was devoted to consider appeals filed by seven candidates demanding the exclusion of winners in the elections of the House of Representatives."
He pointed out that "the Court responded to these appeals because the consideration of them became outside its jurisdiction and informed the plaintiffs that the process of ratification of the results of the elections had been done by them and that they can and that they have the legal means of proof to resort to the method of appeal provided for in Article (52) The constitution, which states: (1) - The Council of Representatives shall decide on the validity of the membership of its members, within thirty days from the date of registration of the objection, by a two-thirds majority of its members;[url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/2988/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AD%D9%83%D9%85%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%A7%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%A9]Federal Court[/url] Supreme, within thirty days from the date of issuance).
