MP Mohammed Al-Baldawi said on Sunday that former prime minister Haidar al-Abadi refused to increase the salaries of the popular crowd, despite the presence of financial allocations, indicating that Abadi tried to flirt with the American side to get the second mandate by fighting the crowd.
"The former Prime Minister Haider Abadi tried to implement the American side plan to end the presence of the popular crowd in order to get the second term," Baldawi said in a statement.
He added that "the non-payment of public mobilization salaries and additional allocations were consistent steps by Abadi with the American plan to end the popular crowd, despite the presence of financial allocations."
"The United States is trying and in any way to end the popular mobilization and disarm in order to support terrorism and increase its military presence in Iraq for the support of Iraqi forces," Baldawi said, adding that "the crowd foiled the scheme of control of Iraq by the US military after the invasion of a criminal organization, End
