The State of Law: The election of the Governor of Baghdad is illegal for these reasons

The coalition of the rule of law in the provincial council of Baghdad, on Wednesday, the session of the election of the governor is illegal, attributing that to the governor Atwan Al Atwani did not submit his resignation and is still practicing his work so far.
"The coalition of state law submitted a request to postpone the election of the province to another time because it is not permissible to elect the governor of the current governor, Atwan Al Atwani did not submit his resignation from his post," council member Saad al-Muttalibi said in a statement.
He added that "Atawani is still practicing his work so far and is currently holding a meeting with some companies," asserting that "a new governor may be elected only with the vacancy of the post."
"We do not need to get to court because things are clear," he said. "Everything that was built on today's session is invalid." Ending / 25
