    (Baghdad: Al-Furat News) On Saturday, the Iraqi electricity and energy ministries signed a memorandum of understanding to exchange electricity between the two countries.
    "On the sidelines of the official visit of Jordanian Prime Minister Omar al-Razzaz and his accompanying delegation to Iraq, in the presence of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity and Minister Luay Khatib, , And the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan represented by Minister Engineer Hala Zwati, to exchange electricity between the Iraqi and Jordanian electricity system, through direct linkage, and accelerate the necessary procedures in this regard. 
    He added that "this linkage is the basis for creating a promising market for electric power in the region, as Iraq works in this direction under the umbrella of the General Secretariat of the eight linkage, as well as Iraq and its geographical location and electrical system will be the link between the eight linkage system, , And West Asian countries on the other.     (Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The parliamentary finance committee confirmed that the customs exemption agreements for some countries will not serve Iraq.
    "The Committee called on the Council of Ministers to reconsider the agreements on the exemption of customs for some Arab countries because they do not serve the public interest," said the committee member Ahmed al-Haj said that "these agreements provided for the exported materials and that Iraq currently does not own products exported outside Country. " 
    He added that "these agreements apply when dealing with reciprocity, this agreement is not in the interest of Iraq, taking into account the current situation of Jordan, but not at the expense of citizens." 
    He pointed out that "the Council of Ministers to consider all similar laws and review the law of tax deductions." 
    Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi announced a joint communique with his Jordanian counterpart Omar al-Razzaz on the exemption of a number of Jordanian goods from customs.
