    The head of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halboussi chaired the meeting of the Finance Committee on Tuesday in the presence of First Vice-President of the Council Hassan al-Kaabi.

    The meeting discussed the articles and paragraphs of the budget of 2019 relating to the proportion of the Kurdistan Region and the salaries of regional employees and oil exports in 2019.

    The meeting also discussed articles on external borrowing, private sector support, reconstruction of liberated areas and implementation of protesters' demands.

    Halabousi praised the efforts of the committee in preparing the budget and discuss with the ministries and government institutions to late hours of the night in order to mature and come out with a budget that satisfies the various parties.
