(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Minister of Planning Nuri Sabah al-Dulaimi stressed the importance of improving the capacity of the work of the Central Bureau of Statistics to complete the census.
"The Minister of Planning Nuri Sabah al-Dulaimi, on Sunday, inspected today the actual preparations by the Central Bureau of Statistics, to complete the census of 2020, and the necessary needs of the body, to accomplish its tasks within the plans set by the Ministry Planning ".
"The Minister of Planning briefed the head of the Central Bureau of Statistics, Dr. Zia Awad Kazem and the staff working in the system, on the progress of work and strategic plans for the current year 2019, and preparations for the ongoing census of the population in 2020.
He added that "the Minister of Planning stressed during the visit, the importance of improving the capacity of the work of the body, through the establishment of workshops specialized, to develop the skills of statisticians, and to familiarize them with the latest technologies, which contribute to the accuracy of work and speed of completion.
The Minister of Planning, according to the statement, "the results of meetings with the international community recently conducted recently, and how to invest in the development mechanisms of the work of the Central Statistical Organization at the national level."
