The escalation of violence in Iraq
Bombings continued and repeated terrorist attacks and the escalation in the number of daily casualties in Iraq have raised deep concerns in the international community. Number of victims of violence in Iraq since the beginning of July stood at 719 dead and 1581 injured, or rather the approximate rate of 90 people and wounded every day. In the month of Ramadan, only the current, which represents one of the most sacred religious occasions for Muslims and deprived the hard war and bloodshed, killing more than 500 people in Iraq and injured hundreds of others. According to UN statistics, Iraq has witnessed the deaths of more than 3,000 people during the past three months alone. The sectarian killings and forced displacement of citizens because of their religious beliefs in the provinces of Diyala, Kirkuk and Baghdad last month led to the conviction directly by the League of Arab States.
Popular resentment took accommodate in a rich country like Iraq because of government corruption and widespread poverty, unemployment and lack of basic services, especially in the areas of water and electricity. Currently out provinces inhabited by people of the Shiites in southern Iraq to the streets in their millions to protest the Nuri al-Maliki declared the sit-in. The atmosphere in the provinces of Basra, Dhi Qar, Maysan, Karbala and Muthanna in the case of the blast came as demonstrations and sit-ins in the six Sunni provinces in Iraq eight months without any sign of concessions by the government.
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, who monopolize the security file and the security ministries five in Iraq, lost control clearly on the security situation of the country, which tends to chaos and the threat of a new rebellion and civil war, similar to the bloody civil war that engulfed Iraq from 2006 to 2009 after the U.S. occupation. Which threatens security and stability in the region and the world if it occurs.
It is strange that the security forces and the Iraqi military which number more than a million and a member of an annual budget equivalent to 20 billion dollars Gergaderh to maintain security of the citizens, or even the main security prisons under its control. The attack expanded to two prisons main in Baghdad on July 22 this month and which led to the exodus of hundreds of guests and left dozens dead confirms this fact as the face of Iraqi Justice Minister fingers towards the security services and public involvement in the accident escape guests blaming federal police and the Interior Ministry's intelligence responsibility This breach of security in prisons.
Currently, and after more than a week rejects Prime Minister al-Maliki and his top security presence in the Iraqi parliament to answer questions about the scandal. She wrote newspaper Le Monde in its International on July 25 this: "... al-Maliki has failed to offer an alternative in front of sectarianism and bring people together around shared values. "It has become clear by the day that al-Maliki has turned into a tool in the hands of the Iranian regime which identified policies of sectarianism and reassure his continued support for the regime of Bashar Assad in Syria brutal.
On the international community to head off calls for the Iranian regime in Iraq without going back and re-independent non-sectarian government determined to impose the rule of law and democratic accountability in front of this oppressed people. To the stability of Iraq, of key importance to the West as the continuation of economic aid and investment depends on the imposition of European fast law, security and peaceful progress.

Spiraling Violence in Iraq
Continued bombings, repeated terrorist attacks and spiraling daily casualties in Iraq have given rise to grave concerns in the international community. The number of victims of violence in Iraq since the beginning of July has reached 719 dead and 1,581 wounded, an average of almost 90 killed and injured every day. In the current month of Ramadan, which represents one the most sacred religious periods for Muslims in which war and the shedding blood is totally prohibited, more than 500 people have been killed in Iraq and hundreds have been wounded. According to statistics released by the UN, Iraq has witnessed the deaths of more than 3,000 people during the last 3 months alone. Sectarian assassinations and the forceful relocation of citizens because of their religious beliefs in the provinces of Diyala, Kirkuk, and Baghdad last month, led to direct condemnation by the Arab League.
Social discontent, brought about by widespread government corruption, desperate poverty, soaring unemployment and a lack of basic services, particularly water and electricity, is growing rapidly. Iraqi citizens increasingly complain that the country's oil wealth is being stolen. Now citizens of the predominantly Shiite provinces in the South of Iraq have taken to the streets in their millions, protesting against Nouri al-Maliki and his government. The atmosphere in the provinces of Basra, Dhi Qar, Maysan, Karbala, and al-Muthanna is explosive. Meanwhile mass demonstrations and sit-ins in the six Sunni provinces of Iraq have entered their 8th month with no sign of any concessions from the government.
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who retains sole authority over the five relevant ministries governing internal security in Iraq, has clearly lost control, plunging the country into chaos and the threat of a renewed insurgency and civil conflict, similar to the bloody civil war, which raged from 2006 to 2009, following the American occupation. Such a prospect would seriously threaten regional and international security and stability.
It is astonishing that Iraq's police and military forces, numbering in excess of one million personnel, with an annual budget of $ 20 billion, cannot maintain the security of the country's citizens, or even the security of the major prisons under their control. Extensive attacks of July 22nd against two major prisons in Baghdad resulted in the mass escape of hundreds of inmates and left dozens dead. Ominously, the Iraqi Justice Minister publically accused the security bodies of playing a role in facilitating the escape and blamed the federal police and the Interior Ministry's intelligence wing for the catastrophic security failure in both prisons.
For more than a week now Prime Minister Maliki and his senior security commanders have refused to attend the Iraqi parliament to answer questions about the scandal. On July 25th, the French daily Le Monde wrote in its international report: "... al-Maliki has failed in presenting an alternative to sectarianism and bringing together the people around common values." It is also increasingly clear that al-Maliki has become a puppet of the Iranian regime, which condones his sectarian policies and ensures his continued loyalty to the vicious regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
The international community must call for the complete severance of Iranian influence in Iraq and the restoration of an independent, non-sectarian government determined to restore the rule of law and democratic accountability to this beleaguered nation. The stabilization of Iraq is of key importance to the West and continued economic assistance and investment from Europe is dependent on the rapid restoration of law and order and peaceful progress.
