A senior Indian official said on Thursday that his country was in talks with the United States to extend the exemption from sanctions on Iranian crude oil exports.
"We are in talks with the United States on the energy aspects, including the exemption from sanctions," said Sanjay Sudhir, undersecretary of the Indian Ministry of Oil for International Cooperation. It's a continuous process. "
India, the second largest buyer of Iranian oil after China, has already cut its imports of Iranian oil but has not decided whether to stop its purchases entirely. Ending / 25
