BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi began to see himself as the largest of the parliament, said MP Nada Jawdat on Saturday, noting that he should put the interest of the people in mind and think about the future of Iraq before signing the agreements.
"Adel Abdul Mahdi sees himself as bigger than the parliament, which gave him confidence and placed him as prime minister," Jawdat told Iraq News. "This has become clear through the nomination of names of his Cabinet, where he sends their names with papers and refuses to attend the House of Representatives."
She added that "Abdul-Mahdi to put the interest of the people in mind and think of the interest of the country before signing agreements to undermine the future of the country's economic and destroy the local product and eliminate all our dreams of investment," noting that "his agreements with Jordan is unjustified because at a time we need to promote the country But he is now behind all his promises. "
The Iraqi cabinet had agreed on Wednesday to supply Jordan with 10 thousand barrels per day of Kirkuk crude oil according to the "price equation linked to the price of Brent crude less transport costs and different specifications, and move to the refinery," while the Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, (January 29, 2019), on the details of the Jordanian request for the export of Iraqi oil, in return for the reduction of duties on goods imported to Iraq through the port of Aqaba.
Abdul Mahdi said during his weekly conference that "Iraq is moving to expand economic relations with all neighboring countries," revealing "an important meeting with the Jordanian side soon."
"We are working to liberate the Iraqi economy from dependence on oil as the sole source of income," he said, noting that "Jordan requested the export of 10 thousand barrels of Iraqi oil at the price of Brent minus the wages of transport."
The Prime Minister pointed out that "the Iraqi-Jordanian industrial zone will provide a great service to both countries by moving the productive sectors in Iraq."
