The representative of the Fatah Alliance Haneen al-Qaddu, on Tuesday, the intention of parliament to host Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to discuss the US presence in Iraq and the total number of US troops, adding that the parliament will begin drafting the decision to withdraw US troops at the request of the government.
"There are real concerns about the increasing preparation of US forces in Iraq after the violation of the strategic cooperation agreement with Iraq and the government and parliament put the American side," Qaddo said in a statement.
He added that "the House of Representatives intends to host Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi immediately after the legislative chapter to see the real numbers of US forces and what is the purpose of it and whether Iraq already needs some expertise."
"The wording of the decision to withdraw US forces or cancel the strategic framework agreement depends on the response of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi and the government on the US presence," he said. Ending / 25 d
