(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Office of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior during the month of January to detect more than 300 cases of administrative and financial corruption in the ministry and managed to prevent the waste and the return of nearly 700 million dinars.
A report issued by the Office of the Inspector-General for the month of January this year that the staffing in the Directorate of Audit and Financial Control was able during the month of the return of 278,069,600 dinars and 1600 dollars to the state treasury and prevented the waste of 418,940,050 dinars and the Directorate also audited 16 contracts of the ministry and indicated The committee also reviewed the implementation of 151 contracts within the Ministry's operational plan, 40 contracts within its investment plan and 4 contracts for the Police and Health Security Martyrs' Fund.
In the field of inspection, the report clarified that the Directorate of Inspection Baghdad was able to detect 116 cases of administrative corruption and 10 cases of financial corruption, while the Directorate of Inspectorate of the provinces to discover 157 cases of administrative corruption and 35 cases of financial corruption and the Directorate of monitoring and performance evaluation of the discovery of cases of administrative corruption and the case One financial corruption. Corruption indicators discovered by the Office of the Inspector-General differed between bribery, theft, embezzlement, waste of public money and the concealment of materials as well as the exploitation of power, abuse of power, fraud, neglect and extortion.
