A member of the parliamentary legal committee Salim Hamza , on Saturday, a proposal and directed towards electronic voting and manual immediately at the same stations and the same day to ensure that the violations of the results in the upcoming provincial elections, noting that the elections as scheduled by the Electoral Commission On several conditions. 

Hamza said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "there is a desire not to repeat the fraud scene that took place in the parliamentary elections during the provincial council elections and that the return of confidence to the Commission, and we have met with the Commission and talked with them about mechanisms to restore confidence," noting that " Restore trust in the institution provided that the provincial elections law is amended. "


Hamza added that "the demands of most political blocs by the adoption of the manual counting of votes during the upcoming provincial elections," pointing out that "there is a proposal and directed towards electronic voting and manual immediately at the same stations and the same day to ensure that no violations or tampering with the results." 

He explained that "the parliamentary legal committee explained the mechanisms that can be adopted so that the elections are fair and far from fraud, which we believe they need the effort and time to be included in the law," adding that "the provincial elections law in the parliament needs many amendments to arrange it optimally Especially that it included counting and electronic counting in the elections, which we will seek the next legislative term, and the amendment of the bill will be a priority for us at the beginning of the next legislative term.

He continued, "The holding of elections on time need to achieve several conditions, the first of the material support of the Commission on time, in addition to logistical support through the provision of counting, counting and voting devices as an alternative to the devices that burned in Baghdad and they rely on the devices located in the Kurdistan region , Parliament to amend the provincial elections law. 

The Independent Electoral Commission proposed on Saturday, 16/11/2019, a date for holding provincial elections not organized in the province.
