    The Basra Provincial Council announced on Tuesday that it is holding a meeting at its headquarters after hours to discuss the current year's project plan, which includes hundreds of service projects, and has been sent to the Council by the Office of the province. 

    The director of the media department in the Council Ali Yusuf in an interview with Alsumaria News, "The provincial council is scheduled to hold a meeting at one o'clock today to discuss the plan of projects this year," noting that "the plan was sent from the Office of the province to the Council."

    For his part, the Chairman of the Legal and Administrative Committee in the Council, Ahmed Abdul Hussein said in an interview with Alsumaria News, "The meeting will include discussion of the plan in preparation for approval by the Council, and then implemented before the Governor," explaining that "this year's plan is different from the plans of previous years Because it contains important projects, including a project to establish a road around the goal of addressing the traffic jams facing the center of the province. 

    Abdul Hussein pointed out that "the plan is also to include the completion of the implementation of 300 projects have been suspended before completion in 2015 by a decision of the Council of Ministers," adding that "the new projects with the old number of up to 700 projects will enter into force this year , Which include various sectors including health and education. "

    The provincial council was referred a few days ago plan projects this year to the Office of the province by an official letter to the large number of observations on them, and said at the time the Chairman of the Committee for Reconstruction and Development Raja Fadel of "Alsumaria News", "The plan is proposed projects, not a plan in the strict sense, Injustice to the provinces and regions, and lacks strategic projects, in addition to the costs exceed the allocation of Basra funds within the budget law.
