    Parliament is holding a regular session on Sunday to discuss the repercussions of the sinking of the tourist ferry in the waters of the Tigris River off the island of Umm al-Rubein tourist north of Mosul, killing more than 110 people and the loss of dozens.
    The second deputy speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Bashir Haddad, told the official newspaper "Sabah" that "the meeting on Sunday is a regular session and there is an agenda announced in advance and included in the paragraphs of the table presented the report of the fact-finding committee for the province of Nineveh and this report contains recommendations related to the total files of Nineveh province Administrative aspects, reconstruction and displaced persons ".
    The decision of the Iraqi parliament, MP Khadija Ali told the newspaper, "The meeting today will be devoted to discuss the tragedy of Mosul and may include other paragraphs, and that the meeting may be confidential to vote on the removal of the governor of Nineveh and his deputies, because there are demands from the deputies that the meeting is confidential so as not to be pressure from Before some about the sanctions to be taken on the perpetrators of the ferry incident, as well as the vote on the removal of the governor and his deputies after the Prime Minister raised a request to Parliament in this regard.
    She added that "a number of Nineveh deputies demanded that the provincial council be frozen in full because it caused in general the damage that took place and not only the resignation of the parliament, but also referred to the courts because the dismissal is in favor of the accused and does not take a fair punishment and that because of greed and neglect there was a loss of innocent lives Insufficient and the need to punish the defaulters because Iraq has become a country of reward with impunity. "
    The Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, has asked the Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Halbusi to dismiss the governor of Nineveh Nofal Aakoub and his deputies in today's session against the backdrop of the tragic events of the ferry.
    Civil defense teams, Iraqi army helicopters and Iraqi Red Crescent teams continue to search for bodies still buried in the waters of the Tigris River.
    Dozens of people gathered outside the Justice Department building to inquire about the fate of their children, who are still missing.
