Deputy Foreign Minister for Development and International Cooperation in Kuwait Nasser Al-Subeih said that his country does not reserve the right to return the citizens who were in the ranks of the organization "Daash," explaining that they will be treated according to the law.
"Kuwait has no reservations about the return of its citizens, even if they are delinquents, if they apply, and they will be dealt with according to the law and subject to trial," Sabih told Kuwait's Al-Qabas newspaper.
"Kuwait has submitted a proposal to the Security Council in this regard, aimed at establishing mechanisms for the rehabilitation and integration of combatants in their societies after being subjected to fair trials," Subeeh said.
He said: "The Committee for the rehabilitation of citizens listed on the international terrorism list of the Security Council working to end the mechanisms of the work of the Committee, and set the date of commencement of work," noting that the Committee "will provide a road map rehabilitation helps to support the report, prepared by the Ombudsman on a case-by-case "He said.
He pointed out that "the committee is headed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kuwait), and includes the Ministries of Interior and Endowments, Health and Information and the prosecution and the University of Kuwait, and will work directly with the runners to encourage them to engage in the rehabilitation program will be optional."
Kuwait's Ministry of Awqaf recently revealed a plan to welcome a wave of Kuwaiti returnees who had previously joined the ranks of Da'ash, which had begun to fade in Iraq and Syria.
Awqaf said that its plan aims to change the intellectual convictions of the members of the organization, which prompted them to leave Kuwait, and fight with him in Syria and Iraq, but does not ease the sanctions, which will face us when they return to their country and subject them to security investigations and the trial.
