US crude also affected crude inventories in the United States to drop more than a dollar a barrel. US benchmark WTI futures ended $ 1.03, or 1.59 percent, at $ 63.58 a barrel. Global Brent crude futures fell 90 cents, or 1.25 percent, to settle at $ 70.83 a barrel. Phil Fellin, "Now there is a hint that Opec may surprise us and raise production as a precautionary measure if there is a jump in prices," he said in Chicago's Price Futures Group.[/rtl]
