considered the Iraqi Association for the care of poultry producers on Tuesday that the poultry sector in Iraq are subjected to "systematic destruction" through "dumping" of poultry entering Iraq products through Abraham port, appealing to the border ports authority to "rescue" poultry projects

"The poultry sector in Iraq is being systematically destroyed by flooding the market of poultry products entering Iraq through the Ibrahim al-Khalil outlet without official permission from the Ministry of Commerce and without the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture ," said the chairman of the association Ali Al-Muzaffar in an interview with Alsumaria News. "Many projects have stopped because of that and the rest of the projects will stop soon after the collapse of prices."

"The government should lift the hand of the Kurds from the port of Ibrahim al-Khalil because they are a Turkish way to destroy the local production in Iraq," he added. "There is no good in a government that does not protect domestic production against Ukrainian eggs and Brazilian chickens."

He pointed out that "the collapse of the poultry sector in Iraq will eliminate 7,000 local projects and will create an army of the unemployed, which will adversely affect the economic and security situation in Iraq."

"There is a decision by the ministries of agriculture and finance to prevent the entry of red eggs to Iraq, but it is not implemented in the port of Ibrahim Khalil, and therefore the corrupt Ukrainian eggs are still flowing and invading local markets and without control."

Al-Muzaffar pointed out that "there is a policy by the neighboring countries to destroy the industry and agriculture in Iraq, and that the executor of Ibrahim al-Khalil and its sponsors do not recognize the decisions of the center and their first role in destroying the Iraqi economy," and called for "the opening of another outlet between Kirkuk and Erbil does not pass through it Goods only with a license issued by Baghdad in case the state can not control the port of Ibrahim al-Khalil . "

"The Ministry of Agriculture sent a letter to the Ministry of Finance - the General Authority of Customs on 5 December 2018 the need to limit the introduction of imported eggs without a license issued by the Ministry of Commerce, stressing that the need to adopt a policy of imports compatible with quantities of eggs produced locally and quantities that import" .

Some importers put 10 percent of the eggs on the back of the truck sealed and the rest is not sealed, it is re-filled on the basis that it is local Iraqi eggs, "the ministry said in its book.

The second document issued by the Ministry of Finance - the General Customs Authority to the Office of the representative of the Government of the Territory and the customs administrations to the need to comply with the controls and instructions of the Ministry of Agriculture.
