A member of parliament in the Jumaili unit on Thursday canceled the visa fees for Iranians to Iraq in support of militias to carry out their "criminal activities according to an Iranian agenda."

"The cancellation of the Iranian visa fees for Iraq came to support and increase the domination of some Iranian-backed militias to carry out a sectarian Iranian agenda and carry out its criminal activities in Iraq," Jumaili said in a statement on Tuesday.

"Some known sectarian militias operating within an Iranian agenda inside Iraq are carrying out criminal acts, looting, and persecution against citizens," she said.

"The cancellation of the visa fees for Iranians to Iraq is a clear plan to increase Iranian influence in Iraq and increase its penetration of Iraqi sovereignty and support for these militias to carry out their criminal activities according to an Iranian agenda," Jumaili said.
