The General Company of Iron and Steel in the province of Basra, one of the companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, the receipt of the first meal of the equipment of the project to rehabilitate the rolling mill and manufactured in the Turkish company (CTS). 
"Seventeen containers of equipment and machinery have been received and unloaded in the company's warehouses," the company's general manager Abdul Karim Khalaf said in a statement received by Al-Iktissad News. 
He pointed out that "there is a second batch of equipment in the port of Umm Qasr waiting for the procedures of output by the sister company of steel industries in cooperation with the Turkish company, pointing out at the same time that the other meals will arrive successively." 
The general company of iron and steel had contracted several months ago with Turkish company UB Holdenk to qualify the equipment of steel and rolling mills and their services to produce 500 thousand tons of steel annually.
