Salhi calls for holding the Baghdad summit on a regular basis

Baghdad:
MP for the reform alliance, Arshad Salhi, called for holding the Baghdad summit of the heads of parliaments of the neighboring countries of Iraq periodically and regularly, indicating that Iraq will monitor all the outcomes of the summit and what has been achieved.
"The Baghdad conference of the heads of parliaments of the neighboring countries of Iraq has been an important political turning point in the history of Iraq and the government and parliament to invest international efforts in support of the country," Salhi said in a statement to the news.
He added that "Parliament is required to transform the Baghdad summit of the heads of parliaments of Iraq's neighboring countries to a summit like other summits to resolve all the problems of the region, as well as follow-up to previous decisions," noting that "Iraq will follow up the implementation of the recommendations made by the summit and evaluate periodically."
