Parliament approves request to correct administrative error committed by Abadi government

BAGHDAD -
The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee announced on Thursday the approval of the House of Representatives to discuss the request of 120 deputies to discuss the cancellation of the merger of the Ministry of Environment with health and the possibility of returning the ministry or turn it into a body, considering merging the two ministries an error committed by the government of former Prime Minister Haidar Abadi.
"The Presidency of the House of Representatives approved the request submitted by our committee of (120) deputies to include the subject of the abolition of the merger of the Ministry of Environment with Health for discussion in the next parliament sessions to decide the possibility of returning the Ministry of the Environment," said Vice-Chairman of the Committee Fares Al-Brefkani. Or transform it into a body ".
He attributed the reasons for the adoption of the parliamentary health committee the idea of re-employment of the Ministry of Environment and separation from health to "the environmental problems we have experienced during the past periods such as fish in the city of Hilla, floods and water scarcity," noting that "solving these problems requires to be an independent environmental decision."
He considered that "the merger of the two ministries was an administrative error signed by the previous government without the adoption of a law in parliament to ratify the mechanism of cancellation or consolidation." Ending / 25
