US President Donald Trump's smelter revealed details of America's plan to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, known as the "Century Deal".
Jared Kouchner, a White House adviser at the Washington Institute for Middle East Policy, spoke of the deal and stressed that his goal was to "make (the Israelis) and the Palestinians a better place," according to CNN.
Kouchner acknowledged that the Palestinian cause was one of the "most difficult problems in the world to solve."
Kouchner said he was optimistic that the two sides "will come with a new perspective and an open mind without prejudgement." "The best things are possible in the future for both sides," he said.
"This has been going on for two years and there are still a few people who know the plan," he said.
The Trump administration, according to "CNN" before that the plan addresses all outstanding issues, namely Jerusalem, borders and refugees, as well as security.
The administration has refused to commit itself to a two-state solution, which the international community sees as the best solution to the Palestinian (Israeli) conflict.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday also reiterated his rejection of the US peace plan, "the deal of the century" even before the official announcement.
Abbas said in response to a question about the statements of Garrid Kouchner, the White House adviser: Kouchner all that we say we do not accept. In short, we do not accept all that they have presented, either with regard to Jerusalem, refugees, settlements, borders or other. According to the agency "Reuters".
"We do not expect them to present something important because the important thing they have presented is all against us," Abbas said at the opening of the Independence University facilities in Jericho.
"So whoever says, wait for what they will offer, we say we will not wait, but we say in general what America offers rejected unacceptable rejected."
On Thursday, Kouchner said the Middle East peace plan he was working on would be a "good starting point" for tackling the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Kouchner, the daughter of US President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka, said he had been working on the peace plan for nearly two years and his proposals were expected to be unveiled in June after Ramadan.
"What we will be able to prepare is a solution that we believe will be a good starting point for political issues, and then a framework for what can be done to help these people start a better life," Kouchner told the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
The plan, which has been postponed for several reasons over the past 18 months, consists of two main parts, one political and one on core issues, such as the status of Jerusalem, and an economic one designed to help Palestinians strengthen their economy.
"I hope the two sides, the Israelis and the Palestinians, will think well of it (the peace plan) before taking any unilateral steps," Kouchner said, adding that he did not discuss the issue of annexing the settlements with Netanyahu.
The Palestinians hold a meeting of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Central Council, the highest legislative body, to discuss several issues, including the US peace plan. End 25 n
