Parliamentary culture calls for stopping "blatant" programs offered by Iraqi satellite channels

The Committee on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and Information Parliamentary asked some Iraqi satellite channels that offer programs contrary to public taste and values and social norms, stop the presentation of those programs.
"The presentation of such blatant programs is contrary to the values that characterize the Iraqi society," said committee head [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/118593/%D8%B3%D9%85%D9%8A%D8%B9%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%BA%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%A8]Samia al-Ghalab[/url]in a press statement. "These programs are forbidden because this violates the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan.
It also called on the Information and Communications Commission to monitor all programs on television and present them to specialized committees and to notify the parliamentary committee of the measures taken as soon as possible.
