Government efforts to resolve the file of contracts and daily workers

Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Hamid Naim al-Ghazi stressed the importance of resolving the file of government contracts and daily workers, in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers issued in this regard.
The Secretary-General, in a statement read by "Economy News", during his chairing a meeting of the Committee on the preparation of a mechanism to address the subject of temporary contract workers in government institutions, the need to achieve job stability, and half the segments of society.
He called for the review and legislation of the laws on the provision of pensions and social guarantees for workers in the private sector, noting the importance of "these guarantees in attracting labor to work in this sector."
The participants also reviewed the laws related to the transfer of employees of government contracts to permanent owners, as well as discussing the administrative and financial matters related to the settlement of this file, in addition to reviewing draft social security laws and social security, as they are important for workers in the private sector.
The committee, which includes representatives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Council of Counselors, as well as representatives of the Ministries of Finance, Planning, Labor and Social Affairs, recommended that an expanded meeting of the Committee be hosted by a number of experts and specialists, as well as representatives from the private sector and civil society organizations To resolve matters related to, and provide guarantees for, and development of, public and private sector employees.
