{International: Al Furat News} A spokesman for the security of the presidency of the Saudi state security "limited targeting of the two pumping stations of oil of Aramco in the provinces of Dawadmi and Afif in Riyadh."
For his part, the Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al-Faleh, "targeting two pumping stations for the pipeline (east-west) Riyadh," describing it as "terrorist attack."
He pointed out that "the targeting of oil pipelines was through an attack of unmanned drone aircraft and was controlled after it caused limited damage," pointing out that "this terrorist act and sabotage targeting the world oil supplies."
Al-Falih said that "the continuous production and exports of Saudi crude oil and products without interruption," stressing that "this terrorist act proves the importance of addressing all terrorist organizations that carry out such acts of sabotage."
The incident came just two days after four merchant ships were attacked last Sunday for "sabotage" off the coast of the UAE. The attack came close to the port of Fujairah outside the Strait of Hormuz, but did not cause any losses.
The UAE Foreign Ministry said it was investigating the incident, but rejected media reports it described as "baseless" about explosions at the port of Fujairah, asserting that operations at the port were normal. "There was no loss of life or fuel leakage in the attack, while the two vessels were badly damaged," he said.
Two Saudi carriers were on their way to cross the Gulf in the UAE's economic waters near the emirate of Fujairah, Saudi Arabia's official news agency quoted Khalid al-Falih, the energy minister, as saying on Monday.
"One of them was on its way to load Saudi oil from Ras Tanura port and then go to the United States to supply Saudi Aramco customers," the minister said in a statement.
A Norwegian shipping company announced that one of its vessels had been sabotaged in the incident, noting that "an unidentified object caused the most recent gap in its tanker."
