    Oil Minister Thamer Ghadhban said on Sunday that the evacuation of workers in the company Okson Mobil operating in the field of West Qurna is unacceptable or justified, and for political reasons related to tensions in the region, not for security reasons, stressing that the ministry sent a letter to the company demanding To return to work immediately under the long-term contract between them and the Iraqi government. 
    Al-Ghadhban said in a statement received by Mawazine News, a copy of it, "The withdrawal of a number of employees of the company, Oksin Mobil from the field of West Qurna temporarily or precautionary, despite their small numbers has nothing to do with the security situation in the oil fields in southern Iraq or threats, but Is for political reasons, as we think we attribute to the state of political tensions in the region. "
    He added that "the withdrawal for us is unacceptable or unjustified because other international companies are working freely and safely and stability in the development of oil fields, and there are no problems or justifications that call for that, and that the withdrawal may lead to the transmission of false messages about the situation in Iraq, which we do not accept at all "He said.

    Al Ghadhban pointed out to a meeting with ExxonMobil officials this week at their request to discuss the withdrawal of the company's workers from the West Qurna field as well as the integrated South project which was agreed upon initially between the two sides.
