TEHRAN: Iran fears its companies in Iraq will be attacked

Russian TV RT quoted an Iraqi security source as saying Iranian fears that the headquarters of Iranian companies and factories inside Iraq may be sabotaged or burned, as happened weeks ago in Karbala province.
"As the wave of protests in Iraq and the growing US-Iranian tension, Tehran fears that its companies in the Iraqi provinces may be attacked, and this is transferred by Iranian officials to the Iraqi government," the source said.
He added: "The losses of more than $ 100 million in the fire of the Iranian dairy company (Kala) in Karbala late last month, prompted Iran to ask the Iraqi authorities to work with them to secure their interests in Iraq."
