Did Baghdad prevent Washington from bombing an Iraqi faction that "attacked" Saudi facilities? Parliamentary security is clear

On July 1, 2019, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee revealed the fact that the government prevented US air traffic from entering Iraqi airspace to respond to an attack that was allegedly carried out by an Iraqi faction last May against a Saudi oil facility.
The former US intelligence officer Michael Brigant, said in a tweet on his account in Twitter, "The Iraqi government and security authorities prevented the entry of US aircraft to Iraqi airspace during the attack by Hezbollah Brigades aircraft on the Saudi oil facility," he claimed.

"The news that some US officers talked about preventing Iraqi authorities from entering US airspace in the Iraqi airspace while targeting a Saudi oil facility is incorrect and illusory," said Kita al-Rikabi, a member of the committee.
He pointed out that "all Iraqi parties have no interest to do such acts," stressing the existence of "agreements in some areas with US forces, whether air or ground, so it is not possible to issue a ban for a particular interest."
The commander of the armed forces, Adel Abdul Mahdi, on Tuesday (June 25, 2019), denied the launch of the aircraft that targeted Saudi Arabia from Iraq.
"The Americans talked about the launch of the plane that targeted Saudi territory from Iraqi territory, but all of our intelligence agencies and all our forces did not monitor or prove this," Abdul Mahdi said at his weekly press conference.
In a report published on Friday (June 28, 2019), a US newspaper reported that the attacks on an oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia last May originated from Iraq, not Yemen.
The Wall Street Journal said on its website that US officials (unnamed) concluded that the attacks on aircraft circling the Saudi oil industry last May, was originated in Iraq and not Yemen.
She noted that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urged Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to take steps to ensure that his country is not used as a new launching pad for attacks.
Since the mid-May attacks, the attacks have been believed to have originated from Yemen's Houthi strongholds, which have carried out multiple attacks on Saudi targets, most of them at Abha airport in southern Saudi Arabia, the newspaper said.

At the same time, a Yemeni military source quoted a Yemeni military source as saying that seven Huthi-guided aircraft carried out attacks on vital installations of Saudi Arabia.
The Yemeni military source said that "the large military operation comes in response to the continued aggression and siege on our people, and we are ready to carry out more strikes qualitative and cruel in case of continued aggression and unjust siege."
The news agency "Reuters", has made it clear that Al-Masirah TV did not mention the targets targeted by the marching aircraft, while there was no confirmation from Saudi officials or the Saudi-led coalition to attack, which came a day after Riyadh said that two of its oil tankers were within four The ship was attacked off the coast of the UAE.

The Al-Masirah channel of the Houthis earlier reported that the Houthi group had taken control of eastern Jazan positions after attacking the Saudi army.
The attack on the oil pipeline was one of the escalation stations in the Gulf region, coinciding with "attacks" on four oil tankers off Fujairah in the UAE, which led to the largest US military mobilization since the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
For his part, the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir, in a tweet that "Houthi confirms day after day that he implements the Iranian agenda and sells the capabilities of the Yemeni people, and his decisions in favor of Iran."
Al-Jubeir accused the Houthis of being "an integral part of the IRGC and carrying out its orders, and confirmed that it targets facilities in the kingdom."
