    The MP for the Fath Alliance Fadhil al-Fatawi, Friday, that the amendment of the provincial elections law will be passed next week, pointing out that there is consensus to pass it, but the issue of Kirkuk entered the line and prevented it.
    Al-Fatlawi said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah that "the consensus is within the parliament to amend the provincial elections law, but the failure to pass the amendment came because of the dispute over the elections in the province of Kirkuk."
    He added that "there is a view within parliament to vote on all paragraphs of the provincial elections law, except for the paragraphs relating to the province of Kirkuk, despite the attempts of some blocks to pass the full amendment during the parliament session yesterday."
    He pointed out that "the next week will see the passing of amendments to the law on provincial elections," pointing out that "the legislative chapter of the parliament has been extended to amend the budget law and provincial councils." End 25 n
