[size=36]Abdul-Mahdi: 80% of Iraqis have housing and only 10% live on rent![/size]

Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said on Tuesday that 80 percent of Iraqis have housing, while 10 percent are renting.
"According to information, 80 percent of Iraqis live in homes owned by them," Abdulmahdi told a weekly news conference, attended by a reporter for Mawazine News. "Ten percent of the houses are either inhabited by the state or companies that live in them."
He added that "only 10% of Iraqis live on rent," stressing that "the government is following up the housing file."
He explained that "the construction of housing complexes subject to supply and demand," noting that "there are financial, administrative and banking factors affect the demand for apartments,"
he pointed out that "the demand for housing units adopted by the state is not high rates."
On Tuesday, the Cabinet holds a regular session, chaired by its chairman, Adel Abdul Mahdi, to discuss and vote on a number of laws on its agenda, while Abdul Mahdi will hold a press conference to talk about the latest political, security, social and economic developments.
