US Petroleum Institute: US crude inventories fell by 1.4 million barrels last week

Crude inventories in the US fell by 1.4 million barrels to 460 million barrels in the week ending July 12, while they were expected to fall by 2.7 million barrels.
According to the American Petroleum Institute, which pointed out that gasoline stocks fell by 476 thousand barrels compared to expectations of a decline of 925 thousand barrels.
Distillate inventories rose by 6.2 million barrels, compared to expectations of a rise of 613 thousand barrels.
