Iraqis top the list of foreigners who own real estate in Turkey

The Turkish Statistical Institute announced on Wednesday the list of countries whose citizens bought real estate in Turkey in June.
The data showed that Kuwaitis and Britons came in fifth place in terms of buying foreigners for real estate in Turkey, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Kuwaiti and British nationals bought 113 properties in June, ranking fifth after Iraqis who topped the list by buying 429 properties.
Then came the Iranians who bought 415 properties, then the Russians with 190 properties and Germans with 126 properties.
The total number of real estate sales for foreigners in Turkey during the last month was 2,689 properties, registering a rise of 5.30 percent compared to the same month in 2018.
According to the Turkish Statistics Agency, the city of Istanbul is considered the most Turkish city of real estate for foreigners last month. The number of properties sold reached 1009 properties, followed by Italy with 668, Ankara with 134, followed by Yalawa by 123 and Bursa with 122 properties.
