"We are worried about the aircraft flying over our bases in Iraq," a US official said

    NEW YORK (Reuters) -
US officials said Thursday they were concerned about the increasing use of aircraft over US bases in Iraq and warned against targeting the bases with bombs.
"There is a marked increase in the monitoring of US bases in Iraq using commercially available commercial aircraft," Reuters quoted officials as saying.
"In addition to reconnaissance missions, Iranian warplanes can drop ammunition or even carry out a suicide mission where they are supplied with explosives and directed to a target," a US official said on condition of anonymity.
US officials declined to "determine the scope of increased surveillance near US forces in Iraq or determine who is doing it."
