The Prime Minister announced on Monday the results of the investigation to "contact" a military commander with "foreign parties."
"We have been investigating the issue of the video that was published concerning the Al-Anbar commander's communication with foreign parties, and the investigation did not prove this issue," Abdul-Mahdi said in an interview with a group of media.
"The military commander was transferred by the defense minister to another location and the investigation was completed and the result was resolved," Abdul Mahdi said.
An Iraqi satellite channel broadcast a videotape claiming to be a telephone conversation between Major General Mahmoud al-Falahi and a CIA officer during which he handled security information concerning Iraq.
