US President Donald Trump has threatened to withdraw his country from the World Trade Organization, which he accuses of always favoring China at the expense of the United States.
"We will leave if necessary," he said amid shouts of support from a crowd of workers at a factory in Pennsylvania. "We know they've been hurting us for years, and that won't happen again."
This is not the first time that Trump has threatened to withdraw from this international organization.
Last summer, Trump said the World Trade Organization had been dealing "very badly" with the United States for several years, adding that if it "does not reform itself, it will be withdrawn."
At the end of July, he called on the organization to prevent reforms in dealing with developing countries.
The Trump administration has been on the World Trade Organization for many years to allow China to be classified as a developing country, relieving it of some duties.
