A member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee Sa'aran Al-Aajibi, said that the Prime Minister's decision to cancel all approvals for aviation in Iraqi airspace and restrict it to him or his delegates is a step in the right direction, which means the right military.
He explained that "confining military orders to one person is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces or who is authorized by him is the appropriate standard in the military field."
He added, "We need to implement this matter accurately, but frankly will face some difficulties from the armed forces, especially air defense," pointing out that "through the review of a lot of details and follow-up we believe that the air defense is still the weakest link in the military Iraq.
Al-Aajibi stressed that "air defense always needs two basic elements are the element of surveillance and detection and the defense component, therefore, the existence of advanced detection devices for any suspicious air activity followed by the presence of an advanced missile defense force to deter this suspicious activity are all essential tools that should be available in Iraqi air defenses to implement "Despite these difficulties, the decision issued by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is an important decision and we all support it and we must implement it with what we have because it is an important part of preserving sovereignty."

    Information / Baghdad
A member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Sa'aran Al-Ajaibi, said on Saturday that Abdul-Mahdi's decision on airspace is contingent upon achieving two important factors for its optimal implementation.
"The decision of the Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] on granting approvals for aviation, which includes armed reconnaissance, fighter planes, helicopters and marches of all kinds, is an important step but needs to achieve two things," Araji said.
He added, "The first thing is the need for [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to a system of air defense sober and sophisticated defense and surveillance and this is a basic system adopted internationally as the rest of the neighboring countries, and this is unfortunately not in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ."
He added that "the second thing is the need for [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to the system of detection and defense and this is a key factor to deter any aggression or foreign object that [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] may respond through a sophisticated missile system parallel to neighboring countries at least."
He considered that "the resolution needs a joint study by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and with the participation of all classes to come up with a sophisticated system capable of deterring strange and hostile aviation." Finished 15 x
