The Iraqi Popular Mobilization announced that its forces targeted an unidentified reconnaissance aircraft flying over one of its headquarters near Baghdad.
The crowd said in a brief statement late on Thursday that its forces were "targeting a reconnaissance aircraft flying over the headquarters of the 12th Brigade in the Baghdad belt and forcing them to withdraw without completing their spy reconnaissance duty."
Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Commission, has accused the United States of bringing four Israeli drones into the country to target the PMU's weapons depots.
