{BAGHDAD: Al-Furat News} The Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation, which participated in the meetings of the Administrative and Financial Committee of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, discussed with Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed al-Halbousi ways to strengthen bilateral parliamentary relations between the two countries.
Head of the delegation, Rakan al-Nusif, told KUNA that the Kuwaiti delegation received a special invitation from the speaker of the Iraqi parliament to meet with him, where they discussed relations and ways of developing bilateral parliamentary diplomacy.
He praised the "good parliamentary relations between the two countries, which witnessed remarkable progress, while praising the success of the Iraqi parliament in hosting the meetings of the Administrative Financial Standing Committee of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Iraq."
For his part, member of the Kuwaiti delegation MP Khalil Abdullah said they "look forward to the Iraqi-Kuwaiti parliamentary relations at best and that there is no disturbance of the relationship as long as there are international organizations and governing institutions."
The Kuwaiti MP stressed that "everyone is eager to extend the bonds of cooperation between the two countries and strengthen them to be steady and continuous bridges," calling for "not to pay attention to what he called the voices cacophony here or there."
Kuwait has participated in the meetings of the Standing Committee of the Administrative and Financial Regulations of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly today with a parliamentary delegation, which included both Deputy Parliamentary Deputy Rakan Al-Nisf and Member of the Division Deputy Khalil Abdullah Abel.
